Well it’s time for it to find a new home. This unassuming Series 3 long wheel base Land Rover has the power house of a 300tdi conversion with the standard recently overhauled s3 gearbox. It’s also benefits from power steering with a p38 power steering box and a defender steering column and wheel. This has been our development vehicle for these conversions.
We have owned this vehicle since 2014 after buying it from one of our previous customers to carry out the development work. It has done very little mileage except for road testing as required and has been kept inside the garage for most of the time we have owned it.
It is a Long Wheel Base (109") Series 3 1974 1st registered 04/05/1975, Number of former keepers 5 (2 in the last 22 years including ourselves)
The vehicle is Road tax exempt. It is also MoT exempt but it is a grey area due to the modifications that have been carried out to it so we have always had an MoT done for it. currently got Mot'd until end the of November 23
As far as we know it is the original speedometer and can only assume it has been round the clock once and is now on 7793 making this 107793 miles although this cannot be guaranteed.
It has its original chassis with some small repairs also done by ourselves and undersealed as required. ( See photos)
The engine conversion is a used engine from a Discovery 300Tdi (111bhp) with all our conversion components we manufactured including a new radiator, new alternator, battery, timing belt,
The bodywork is fairly straight especially for it's age although the original paintwork is faded (Patina

The front axle has been overhauled by ourselves
The standard Series 3 gearbox has been overhauled in 2018 by ourselves
Fairy Overdrive fitted
Defender style Inertia seat belts have been fitted
Interior courtesy lights have been fitted
Front door trims fitted
Defender door mirrors fitted
Brakes were overhauled several years ago with little mileage done since
Brake master cylinder renewed and brake servo recently renewed
