What happens when the diff pan on your Land Rover develops a small rust
hole?
First of all you take the welder to it; and the small hole rapidly
becomes a large hole.
Secondly you price up a new axle casing. ASTRONOMICAL!! |
After you have recovered, you start looking for a second hand axle casing,
which has to be the correct one for the year of the vehicle as Land Rover
decided to move the filler plug in 1980! So you spend hours on the phone
ringing round the country. And you find one, get it home and it's bent or
the casting is so thin that in a few months it also develops a hole
So then you see our new diff pan, specially developed by Steve Parker
Land Rovers Ltd. |

So all you have to do is remove the half shafts and diff' unit, cut off
your old leaky diff pan and weld our replacement diff pan into position.
You don't have to worry about the year of your vehicle as it incorporates
an oil filter/level plug in the new diff pan. Sounds simple doesn't it? We
would need to know what vehicle it is so we can supply the correct
gaskets.
We have even made it better than the original by making it out of 16 gauge
steel and incorporating a central crown wheel guard in 6mm thick steel to
fend off rocks when off roading. The SPLR diff pan should outlive the rest
of your axle casing and transform your axle into 'as new' at a fraction of
the cost. |
If you would rather have us do the job in our workshop, stripping the axle
and renewing the diff pan and rebuilding the axle, please let us know. The front varies depending on the model. However
this does not include any brake pipes, shoes, pads or seals that may be
required, if they are unserviceable.
